The Reserve Bank of Malawi’s Registrar of Financial Institutions has revoked Tipindule Community SACCO’s licence and ordered its compulsory winding-up. The action follows findings that the SACCO is financially unsound and has failed to meet prudential capital and liquidity requirements. The Registrar will serve as liquidator. Members, creditors and other claimants must submit documented claims within 60 days of the notice’s publication. Admitted claims will be settled according to the statutory ranking of claims and subject to the assets realized through liquidation.
