Denitsa Velichkova, Deputy Chair of the Bulgaria Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) responsible for Investment Supervision, participated in the twelfth “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” ceremony held at the Bulgarian Stock Exchange under a United Nations-supported campaign. As part of the event, Bulgarian Stock Exchange Chief Executive Officer Manyu Moravenov presented “Women on Boards” initiative data indicating a 10% increase in the number of women chief executive officers in public companies over the past year. Velichkova highlighted that while women are strongly represented in the financial sector, sustainable success depends on balanced participation of women and men in decision-making. FSC Deputy Chair Diana Yordanova, Head of Social Insurance Supervision, also attended, and guest speaker Krasimira Hadzhiivanova addressed social entrepreneurship as a pathway to financial independence and leadership for women in Bulgaria.
