Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has sworn in Nofa Hermawati as Head of OJK Tasikmalaya, in an appointment chaired by Board of Commissioners Chair Mahendra Siregar. The move fills the leadership vacancy at the Tasikmalaya office and is positioned as part of OJK’s efforts to strengthen regional supervision of the financial services sector and improve public services. The appointment replaces the acting head arrangement in place since June 2024, when the role was held on an interim basis by Melati Usman. OJK expects the new head to enhance the effectiveness of oversight of local financial institutions, including market conduct supervision, and to broaden the rollout of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and financial consumer protection programmes, alongside reinforcing coordination with local government, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to support regional economic development.
