The Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) issued a public warning that the virtual asset platform Bitrue, operated by straLink Innovations Technologies Limitada, is not licensed or authorised to provide virtual asset services in or from Seychelles under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024. The FSA also stated the company has no legal or operational nexus to Seychelles despite claims made on third-party websites. The notice urges investors and the public to conduct due diligence and verify whether a virtual asset service provider (VASP) or virtual asset product is authorised and regulated in the jurisdiction from which it claims to operate. The FSA noted it publishes on its website the list of persons authorised or licensed to offer non-bank financial services, including virtual asset services, and registrations of Initial Coin Offerings and Non-Fungible Tokens, and it encouraged reporting of suspected unlicensed VASP activity via its online form.
