The Central Bank of Estonia’s Supervisory Board appointed Joel Kukemelk as a member of the Supervisory Board of Finantsinspektsioon, following a proposal from Governor Madis Müller. Kukemelk’s three-year term starts on 1 October, coinciding with the end of the term of office of current member Rein Minka. Kukemelk previously worked at LHV Varahaldus as a fund manager and later as a member of its management board, and has also served as Head of the Estonian Pension Contribution Working Group at FinanceEstonia and as a member of the supervisory board of the Estonian Guarantee Fund. By law, Finantsinspektsioon’s Supervisory Board has six members, including the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Estonia ex officio, with two additional members appointed by the government on the proposal of the Minister of Finance and two appointed by the Central Bank of Estonia’s Supervisory Board on the governor’s proposal. The next meeting of the Central Bank of Estonia’s Supervisory Board is scheduled for 23 September.

The Central Bank of Estonia’s Supervisory Board appointed Joel Kukemelk to the Supervisory Board of Finantsinspektsioon for a three-year term starting 1 October, succeeding Rein Minka. Kukemelk has held roles at LHV Varahaldus and FinanceEstonia. Finantsinspektsioon’s Supervisory Board comprises six members, including the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Estonia.
