The Seychelles Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade confirmed that Finance Minister Pierre Laporte is participating in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Bangkok from Oct. 12 to 18. His agenda focuses on investment, financing and sustainable economic development, including discussions intended to support Seychelles’ economic resilience and long-term growth. In his first engagement, Laporte joined a flagship panel titled “Small AI. Real Jobs: Transforming Technological Possibilities into Development Reality.” The meetings bring together government, international financial institution and private sector leaders to address jobs, investment, economic growth and development.
