The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a reception in Sarajevo after receiving the international Central Banking Financial Stability Initiative Award 2026. The bank described the award as recognition of its work to strengthen financial stability through reform, modernization of the regulatory framework and stronger institutional resilience. In the bank's account of the event, the recognition reflected measures to strengthen the resilience of the financial system, improve the regulatory framework, develop modern payment systems and support Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession process to the Single Euro Payments Area. The award was presented to Governor Jasmina Selimović at the Central Banking Awards ceremony in London. Remarks at the reception also stressed that the results depended on cooperation across the country's financial system, including the Central Bank, the Banking Agency, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, other competent institutions, the financial sector and international partners.
