The Securities and Exchange Board of India has postponed implementation of its revised exchange-traded fund trading norms from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7, 2026, following feedback from stock exchanges and to support a smooth rollout. The June 15 circular covers ETF base prices, price bands, pre-open call auctions and close-out procedures, and all its other provisions remain unchanged. Recognized stock exchanges, clearing corporations and other market infrastructure institutions must put the necessary systems in place, amend relevant bylaws, rules and regulations where required, and notify market participants and investors of the revised effective date.
