Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance hosted Colombia’s Financial Superintendent, César Ferrari, and Natalia Guerrero to exchange supervisory approaches and digitalisation strategies aimed at strengthening domestic supervision and regional cooperation. Discussions highlighted Colombia’s interest in the information reporting regime and Monitoring Dashboard (SIEP) implemented by the Argentina Superintendency of Insurance as an online supervision tool, alongside work the Colombia Financial Superintendency is undertaking in this area. Both authorities also aligned on the need to remove inefficient regulations and maintain continuous communication channels with the market. The visit took place in connection with the officials’ participation in the XXIII ASSAL-IAIS Annual Conference on Insurance Regulation and Supervision in Latin America and ASSAL’s Annual Assembly in Argentina on 27–28 March.
