The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority’s Establishment and Licensing Committee approved the incorporation of several entities and granted new authorizations across non-banking financial activities, including permissions related to dealing in government securities and financial instruments on the secondary market. The committee approved the establishment of Sadara Holding for Financial Investments and Taqa for Financial Investments, with each intended to set up companies that issue securities or to increase their capital. It also approved the establishment of BFI Cash for Factoring and licensed Tex Fund to conduct investment fund activity (private equity). In addition, Commercial International Brokerage for Securities was approved to regularize its status and be entered in the Authority’s register for dealing in government securities and financial instruments on the secondary market, while Arab Financial Securities Brokerage was approved to operate the same-session trading mechanism.
