The Monetary Authority of Macao published a recap of the 2025 Financial Talent Training Pilot Project in Wealth Management, organised with the Macao Institute of Financial Training and the Macau Association of Banks, and reported that 23 students completed the programme following selection from 175 university applicants. The pilot ran for five weeks, combining one week of in-person training with a subsequent four-week internship at financial institutions, with sector professionals acting as trainers and workplace mentors. The authority also highlighted that across the programme’s three editions around 400 students have participated, with more than 70 selected to undertake the structured training and internship component. AMCM linked the pilot to its wider talent-pipeline work, including the Summer Internship Programme for university students that it has organised since 2018, and stated it will continue working with the financial sector, higher education institutions and professional associations to develop more targeted training programmes.
