Ghana's Internal Audit Agency has inaugurated a new Audit Committee for the National Insurance Commission to strengthen internal oversight, accountability and the implementation of audit recommendations. The committee will also advise the commission’s Internal Audit function and management. Professor Emeritus James Baisie Ato Ghartey, a representative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, was elected chairman. At the handover, outgoing chairman Dr. Hayford Baah-Adade reported that there were no outstanding audit observations and that the second-quarter 2026 audit review had been completed.
