The National Bank of Georgia and Caucasus International University presented a cycle of short documentary films, "The Adventure of Georgian Money 30 Stories", to mark the 30th anniversary of the lari and outline 26 centuries of Georgian monetary history. At the presentation, attended by Governor Natia Turnava, the project was described as a documentary overview of the development of Georgia’s monetary and credit system and national currency. The series covers currency issuance and circulation, numismatic heritage, the formation of financial institutions and major stages in the country’s economic development. In remarks at the event, Turnava said the films aim to present the history of Georgian money in chronological and systematic form using documented sources, while also supporting financial education and public awareness. The media project was implemented under a science popularisation grant competition and fully funded by Caucasus International University.
