The Central Bank of Paraguay presented the 2026-2031 National Financial Inclusion Strategy, a public-private roadmap to expand effective and responsible access to quality financial services for individuals and businesses. Its priority groups are people living in poverty, self-employed workers, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, older adults and the education community. The strategy’s 39 actions seek to increase the use of formal financial products and services, promote financial education, strengthen risk-based regulation and supervision, and develop physical and digital infrastructure through complementary channels and solutions. It builds on Paraguay’s previous financial inclusion strategy and advances work on interoperable payment systems, digitalization, user protection and new technologies.
