The Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia, together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has opened a four-day workshop under the EU Financial Regulation 2025 Training Programme focused on the practical application of key European Union capital market directives and regulations. The programme is aimed at capital market intermediaries, issuers and shareholders, covering the Central Securities Depositories Regulation, the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II and the Market Abuse Regulation. Internal Commissioner Vasko Peikov framed the workshop as part of joint efforts to support alignment with European standards and improve understanding of the regulatory framework through practical sessions and interactive discussions on expected implementation challenges. The workshop runs for four days.
