The Financial Conduct Authority has confirmed new and renewed leadership for three of its statutory advisory panels. Kirsty Cooper will become chair of the Listing Authority Advisory Panel, while Clare Woodman and Matt Hammerstein have been reappointed as chair of the FCA Markets Practitioner Panel and chair of the FCA Practitioner Panel, respectively. The panels advise the FCA as it develops policy and are intended to represent the interests of consumers and financial services firms, including smaller regulated firms. Appointments of statutory panel chairs are agreed by the FCA Board and approved by the Treasury. Cooper takes up the role on 1 July, succeeding Mandy Gradden, while Woodman and Hammerstein will continue in their roles from 1 August.
