The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine published an overview of how international cooperation supports its capital markets regulation and Ukraine’s integration into European and global financial systems. A key 2026 development was its signing of the International Organization of Securities Commissions Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding, enabling direct information exchanges with foreign regulators for investigations into potential cross-border market misconduct, subject to the memorandum and participating countries’ laws. The Commission is also aligning capital markets, corporate governance, professional participant and financial services rules with European Union law as part of Ukraine’s accession process. Its broader work includes participating fully in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Corporate Governance Committee, following recent steps toward OECD corporate governance standards, drawing on international approaches to sustainable finance through the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network, and contributing to MONEYVAL assessments of Ukraine’s anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing framework.
