The Malaysia Securities Commission has appointed Dato’ Seri Ahmad Johan Mohammad Raslan as the non-executive Chairman of its Audit Oversight Board, effective 5 January 2026. He was redesignated from his role as a non-executive board member, which he has held since December 2020, and succeeds Tan Sri Abu Samah Nordin, whose two-year term ended on 4 January 2026. Dato’ Seri Johan’s background includes serving as Executive Chairman of PwC Malaysia from 2004 to 2012, chairing the Financial Reporting Foundation, and holding roles such as member of Bank Negara Malaysia’s Financial Stability Executive Committee and the Labuan Financial Services Authority’s International Advisory Panel. He played a role in the rollout of the first Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance in 2000 and subsequent revisions, and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sime Darby Property Berhad and YTL Digital Bank Berhad, as well as a board member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

The Malaysia Securities Commission has appointed Dato’ Seri Ahmad Johan Mohammad Raslan as the non-executive Chairman of its Audit Oversight Board, effective 5 January 2026, succeeding Tan Sri Abu Samah Nordin. Dato’ Seri Johan, previously a non-executive board member since December 2020, has an extensive background in corporate governance and financial oversight.
