The Union of Arab Securities Authorities reported that its Secretary General attended, as an observer, the 49th annual meeting of the Council of Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities’ Governors in Tunis on 17 September 2025. The meeting approved the final version of the 2025 Annual Financial Stability Report and the 2025 Joint Arab Economic Report. The governors also discussed outcomes from technical committees and specialised working groups, and reviewed General Secretariat research papers on managing monetary policy in an environment of uncertainty and frequent shocks, strengthening central bank responses to pressures arising from trade wars, and frameworks to enhance cybersecurity resilience in the financial sector. In addition, the meeting endorsed a final draft set of issues proposed for inclusion in a Joint Arab statement to be delivered during the 2025 International Monetary Fund meetings.
