The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine has added CadBrokers and Aurora Trade Limited to its list of questionable investment projects. Both platforms present themselves as brokers and target Ukrainian clients with leveraged trading in assets including shares, currencies, cryptocurrencies, metals and futures, but neither is licensed or otherwise authorized to operate in Ukraine’s capital markets. CadBrokers offers accounts with minimum deposits from USD 150 to USD 10,000 and advertises leverage of up to 1:100, including for novice accounts. Aurora Trade Limited offers packages requiring deposits from USD 250 to USD 10,000 and promotes futures trading in stock indexes, energy products and metals. Neither platform has an office in Ukraine, while both registration systems are configured for Ukrainian telephone numbers. The commission warned that 1:100 leverage can cause investors to lose their entire deposit following a small adverse price movement and advised investors to verify firms through its public registers.
