The Central Bank of Barbados has invited researchers, policymakers and practitioners to submit abstracts and register for its 46th Annual Review Seminar, to be held in Bridgetown from 10 to 14 August 2026. The seminar will focus on how small states are responding and adapting to structural global uncertainty under the theme “Shifting Economic Landscapes: Strategic Responses of Small Open Economies”. Topics include trade and tourism dynamics, energy transition and climate risk, technology and digital transformation, demographic change and productivity, monetary policy and exchange rate management, fiscal sustainability and public finance, and financial sector development and stability. Abstracts must be no more than 150 words and include keywords and JEL codes, with the study’s objectives and main findings clearly identified. Abstracts and registration forms are due by 26 June 2026, with acceptance notifications by 6 July 2026. Final papers are due by 27 July 2026 and general registration closes on 31 July 2026; papers presented will be considered for inclusion in the Central Bank of Barbados’ Working Paper Series following peer review.
