The Reserve Bank of India has instructed all Money Transfer Service Scheme (MTSS) Overseas Principals to submit the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems’ MTSS Business return through its Centralised Information Management System (CIMS), starting with the reporting period December 2025 onwards. The return to be filed in CIMS is the MTSS Business return (return code R103) on a monthly basis and in line with the reporting guidelines. Admin user accounts have been created for each reporting entity, with each entity’s admin responsible for creating login credentials for users who will submit the return. The submission deadline remains the 7th of the succeeding month, meaning the return for December 2025 should be submitted by 7 January 2026; the instruction is issued under Sections 12 and 19 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, and non-compliance may be subject to penal action.
