The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority concluded its 2026 summer training program for Egyptian university students, combining financial education with practical experience across the regulator’s departments. The program drew 7,480 applicants, more than double the previous year’s total. Of these, 441 students attended educational lectures, 333 took qualifying tests and 228 were selected for one month of practical training across three cohorts. Islam Azzam, chair of the authority, said the initiative supports financial literacy and prepares young people to work in the nonbank financial sector, including capital markets, insurance and nonbank financing. With more young people participating in capital markets and investment funds, the authority plans to continue education through its I Invest platform and university programs. Assistant Chair Mohamed Abdelaziz said it also intends to expand activities that equip students to share accurate information about regulated financial products and investment.
