The Oman Financial Services Authority and Muscat Stock Exchange briefed the Oman Investment Authority and its affiliated funds on the Capital Market Incentive Programme, which offers companies different routes to access capital markets based on their growth stage and listing readiness. The pathways include listing on the Primary Market or Alternative Investment Market and converting into a closed joint-stock company as a step toward a future listing. The programme has moved from awareness and outreach toward developing listing opportunities, building on recent work to assess companies’ readiness for the Alternative Investment Market. Progress has exposed varying preparedness among companies, a need to develop incentives further and concerns about governance and disclosure requirements. The next phase will support companies during and after listing through capacity building, advisory assistance, guidelines and templates.
