The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market issued a public warning after receiving an increasing number of complaints about Taras Voitenko and the related PJSC Voitenko-Invest Project. It said neither Voitenko nor the company holds any licence, permit or approval from the regulator and neither is entitled to provide investment or financial services in Ukraine. Complaints allege that Voitenko presents himself as a licensed trader, takes money from clients and does not return it. According to the commission, Voitenko uses several Telegram channels to present himself as a professional investment adviser and shows potential clients documents resembling official licences supposedly issued by the regulator. It also said photos circulated on those channels that purport to show meetings with Commission Chair Oleksii Semeniuk and Ukraine's Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko are fabricated and that no such meetings took place. The regulator urged the public to verify licence information through its official website or by request, and asked anyone affected or holding information about the activity to contact the police and the commission.
