Indonesia's Ministry of Finance reported to Parliament’s Commission XI on the government’s position on proposed amendments to Law No. 4 of 2023 on Financial Sector Development and Strengthening (P2SK), submitting the government’s inventory of issues for the draft amending bill and framing the changes as aimed at reinforcing financial system stability and market confidence. The ministry noted that, under a 27 November 2025 presidential letter, the Finance Minister together with the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, the State Secretary, and the Minister of Law were appointed to represent the government in the deliberations. It also said the government, alongside Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), had reviewed the Parliament-proposed draft and held public consultations involving industry associations, academics and the wider public. The government stated it is ready to continue discussions with Parliament in line with the applicable legislative process.
