Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market reported that its staff participated in a series of training webinars delivered by the Ontario Securities Commission in Canada, focused on investor engagement, financial literacy, and regulatory responses to misconduct. The sessions covered how the Canadian regulator communicates complex information in accessible terms, uses digital channels to reach a broad audience, and handles investor enquiries as a key input for identifying market issues such as fraud and unfair practices. The programme also outlined approaches to investor warnings, including public cautions about high-risk companies and tools that help investors verify market participants, alongside an enforcement module on case selection for investigations, the use of digital tools, and the role of whistleblowers in detecting complex violations.
