The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) published analytical data on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s foreign currency reserves and foreign currency liquidity as at the end of July 2025, using the International Monetary Fund’s Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity under the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS). The HKMA also reiterated its monthly publication cycle for Exchange Fund data, comprising three SDDS monetary data releases and a separate transparency-focused release on the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and the Currency Board Account. For August 2025, the SDDS international reserves figures were issued on 7 August and the SDDS analytical accounts of the central bank (Analytical Accounts of the Exchange Fund) on 14 August, with the SDDS reserves and liquidity template and the abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account scheduled for 29 August.
