The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published Hong Kong’s latest official foreign currency reserve assets figures, reporting USD 431.9 billion as at end-June 2025, up from USD 431.1 billion at end-May 2025. Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, foreign currency reserve assets totalled USD 431.8 billion at end-June 2025, compared with USD 431.0 billion at end-May 2025. The USD 431.9 billion total represents over five times the currency in circulation or about 37% of Hong Kong dollar M3, and forms part of the HKMA’s monthly Exchange Fund data releases, including publications aligned with the International Monetary Fund’s Special Data Dissemination Standard. The HKMA’s July 2025 schedule indicates further Exchange Fund data releases on 14 July for the SDDS Analytical Accounts of the Central Bank, and on 31 July for both the SDDS Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity and the Exchange Fund’s abridged balance sheet and Currency Board Account.
