The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo hosted the President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Lulzim Rafuna, to discuss expanding cooperation, with Governor Ahmet Ismaili briefing on financial sector developments, financial stability and key indicators and on the central bank’s policy work to support resilience alongside access to finance, financial education and financial inclusion. Discussions also covered steps to advance the legal, regulatory and infrastructure framework, including the expected process of joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and the fast payments project (TIPS Clone), which the Chamber welcomed and supported. The meeting addressed the current regulatory framework and access-to-finance conditions, the need to develop rules enabling alternative financing channels via the capital market, and how published economic and financial-sector data could be used by business associations to promote foreign investment; the parties identified potential joint events and stressed the need for ongoing communication.
