Morocco's Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is hosting the 6th Annual Conference of the African Pension Supervisors Association (APSA) in Marrakech on 10–11 July 2025 under the theme “Building Resilience in Africa’s Pension Landscape”. The event convenes senior officials from African pension regulatory and supervisory bodies alongside international organizations, institutional stakeholders, researchers, and sector experts. Organised with APSA and Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa), the conference focuses on sharing supervisory and policy practices on governance, expanding pension coverage, managing emerging risks, and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria into investment policies. The programme includes sessions on the shift toward risk-based supervision, climate change, cybersecurity and demographic risks, development of an African ESG taxonomy, and micro-pension models aimed at extending coverage to informal sector workers.
