The Central Bank of the Philippines said the Philippines ranked first among 57 countries in the Institute of International Finance’s 2026 Investor Relations and Debt Transparency Report, regaining the top position after placing first in 2024 and second in 2025. The assessment measures investor relations practices, including the accessibility and quality of sovereign debt data and the disclosure of environmental, social and governance data and policies. The report also gave the Philippines a perfect score of 4.0 for ESG data and policy dissemination. The IIF’s annual assessment, conducted since 2005, benchmarks emerging market and developing-country sovereign investor relations programs against 23 criteria. The Philippines’ investor relations program, led by the BSP Investor Relations Group, was established in 2001.
