The South Africa Financial Sector Conduct Authority has published an update confirming that Astrix Data (Pty) Ltd has changed its name and is now operating as IGM Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, while stressing that the change does not affect its ongoing investigation. The investigation, which was announced in June 2024 after complaints from members of the public, also covers Vector Financial Services (Pty) Ltd and Finbok and is now at an advanced stage. According to Companies and Intellectual Property Commission records cited by the authority, the entity first changed its name from Astrix Data to Itrade Group (Pty) Ltd on 5 February 2026 and then to IGM Financial Services (Pty) Ltd on 4 March 2026. The Financial Sector Conduct Authority said it does not approve company name changes, but has noted the changes and updated its records. The authority said it cannot disclose further details at this stage because of the sensitivity of the matters under consideration and the need to preserve the integrity of the investigative process. It said a further update will be issued in due course on the outcome of the investigation and any regulatory decision.
