The National Bank of Ukraine published details of its Emerging Researcher Forum, scheduled to be held offline in Kyiv on 4 May 2026, as a platform for students and young researchers to present academic work, discuss ideas and preliminary results, receive expert feedback, and build links within Ukraine’s research community. The central bank selected papers from researchers at American University Kyiv, Ukrainian Catholic University, Kyiv School of Economics, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Lviv State University of Life Safety, Kryvyi Rih National University, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Topics span fiscal impulses, foreign exchange pass-through, lending availability, global risks to the financial resilience of the crop production sector, the labour-market effects of digitalised administrative procedures, and the economic effects of reintegrating internally displaced persons. The programme also included a lecture by Priscilla Toffano, the International Monetary Fund Resident Representative in Ukraine, and a live broadcast on the event page and the NBU’s YouTube channel.
