The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision (IVASS) ordered internet service providers operating in Italy to block rca.assicurarsinovara.it, including its www address, for offering insurance services without authorization. The blocking process is underway and may take several days for technical reasons. The order brings the number of unauthorized websites blocked by IVASS to 386 since it began exercising its blocking power in November 2023. IVASS warned consumers against insurance offers involving instant messaging or prepaid credit card payments and advised them to verify websites against its official lists of supervised insurers and insurance intermediaries.
