Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has published an exposure draft setting out proposed regulatory requirements for open finance, intended to establish a foundational framework for consent-driven sharing of customer information across the financial sector. The framework is designed to support sharing in a secure, open, accessible, interoperable and timely manner. BNM is seeking written feedback on the proposed requirements, including areas needing clarification or further elaboration and any alternative proposals. Submissions are required to be constructive and supported by clear rationale and, where relevant, evidence, examples or illustrations, and must be submitted via BNM’s specified form by 1 March 2026.
