The Central Bank of Kuwait, through the Institute of Banking Studies, has launched a domestic scholarship programme for Kuwaiti nationals to pursue a master's degree in financial technology in cooperation with Gulf University for Science and Technology under the Kafa'a initiative. The programme is aimed at developing local talent for the financial and banking sector, and graduates will be free to work in institutions across the public and private sectors without any employment obligation to the banking sector or the central bank. The programme is open to Kuwaiti holders of a university degree, with application terms, conditions and other details available on the Kafa'a initiative website. Gulf University for Science and Technology will deliver the programme, and applications are being accepted from 30 April to 30 June 2026.
