The Central Bank of Cyprus has published its third Payment Statistics report for the second half of 2024, providing an overview of developments in non-cash payment instruments in Cyprus and information on the public’s use of payment cards and terminals. Non-cash transactions are classified into credit transfers, direct debits, payment cards, electronic money payments, cheques and remittances. The data is collected from all Cyprus-resident payment service providers, including credit institutions, electronic money institutions and payment institutions. The Central Bank of Cyprus will publish the report on a semi-annual basis, and it is available in Greek and English.
