The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Board has appointed Jonathan Peddie and Raymond Cox KC as new members of the FCA’s Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC), which takes certain regulatory decisions on behalf of the FCA in contested enforcement action. The RDC operates as an FCA Board committee that is operationally separate from the rest of the FCA and is intended to support fair, independent and evidence-based decision-making, with members drawn from business, consumer and industry backgrounds. RDC chair Alison Potter said the new members bring legal and financial services expertise and regulatory enforcement experience to complement existing members.
