The Slovenia Securities Market Agency has adopted a decision to apply guidelines on redemption plans under Articles 47 and 55 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiCA). The decision enters into force on the fifteenth day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia. The guidelines set requirements for the content of a redemption plan, how often the plan must be reviewed and updated, and the circumstances that trigger execution of the plan. Under MiCA, issuers of asset-referenced tokens and issuers of e-money tokens must prepare and keep such redemption plans operational; the decision specifies that the guidelines apply to asset-referenced token (ART) issuers and to the agency when it carries out supervisory powers and tasks over ART issuers.
