Staff from the Osh regional office of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held an offsite lecture for students at the College of Applied STEM Specialties of the B. Sydykov Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, covering core financial and payments topics. The session outlined the National Bank’s role and functions, the history and development of the national currency and its security features, and basic concepts related to loans, deposits and savings. It also addressed the expanding use of QR codes in payments and demonstrated how to activate and remove a self-imposed ban on obtaining credit in the Tunduk application.
