The Central Bank of Taiwan published its certificate of deposit issuance plan for the fourth quarter of 2026, reducing the monthly offering of 364-day certificates to TWD 110 billion from TWD 120 billion effective October. The change reflects recent banking system liquidity conditions and banks’ asset allocation needs. Monthly offerings of two-year certificates will remain unchanged at TWD 25 billion. The 364-day auctions are scheduled for Oct. 5, Nov. 3 and Dec. 3, while the two-year auctions will take place on Oct. 16, Nov. 13 and Dec. 18. The multiple-rate auctions are open to banks, credit cooperatives, bills finance companies and Chunghwa Post, with each bidder limited to 30% of the offering in each auction. The central bank plans to release its certificate of deposit auction schedule for the first quarter of 2027 on Dec. 24, 2026.
