The Indonesia Financial Services Authority conducted capital market education for Batang Regency civil servants, encouraging them to participate as investors while assessing product legality, investment objectives and risk. During the event, 117 civil servants obtained a Single Investor Identification, and the Batang Regency Government Investment Gallery was inaugurated. The authority urged investors to build positions gradually with long-term funds rather than borrowed money and to avoid offers promising unreasonable returns. It also warned of fraudulent promotions using social media, WhatsApp and deepfake technology, advising the public to check whether providers are licensed and offers are logical. Capital market products, including shares, bonds, sukuk, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, can be accessed from IDR 100,000. Batang had more than 66,000 registered capital market investors as of August 2026, nearly double the previous year's level, while Central Java had 3.42 million. The outreach forms part of a broader 2026 education program covering capital market funding for companies, financial literacy for local journalists and Islamic capital markets for community groups.
