The Kenya Capital Markets Authority has approved the establishment of eight new collective investment schemes and sub-funds, expanding the range of regulated products available to retail and institutional investors. The approvals cover money market, balanced, equity, fixed income, bond, private debt, global asset and multi-asset strategies, including products denominated in Kenyan shillings and U.S. dollars. The approved offerings are managed under the Swala, Lofty Corban, Sanlam, XENO, Globetec, Tradiam and Capital A Rejesha schemes. The additions bring Kenya’s total number of approved collective investment schemes to 57, while assets under management across the sector have exceeded KES 600 billion.
