The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye has issued a sector announcement on the new private health insurance regime and prepared a public notice and information guide to explain the changes to consumers and policyholders. The materials relate to the comprehensive amendments that took effect on 1 January 2026 under the revised Private Health Insurance Regulation and Circular 2025/28, including changes on lifetime renewal guarantees, transfer procedures and waiting periods. To improve access to the notice and guide, insurers licensed in the health insurance branch and the sector association should place the Agency’s logo on their websites and provide a link to the materials under the heading “New Period in Private Health Insurance.” The link is expected to remain continuously available until 31 December 2027. The sector announcement enters into force on 10 June 2026.
