The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported on its participation in the 14th Annual Investment Meeting Congress (AIM Congress 2025) in the United Arab Emirates, where Deputy Chair Gulbahor Naziri presented an overview of Tajikistan’s financial system and highlighted investment opportunities in the country’s banking sector. The congress, held on 7-9 April 2025, brought together more than 20,000 participants and included discussions on themes such as artificial intelligence, the digital economy, global trade, financial stability, and sustainable development. Naziri pointed to favourable investment conditions and state guarantees, and said Tajikistan is increasingly focusing on green finance, including opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. On the sidelines, the Tajik delegation met with foreign business representatives and investors to deepen Tajikistan-United Arab Emirates economic ties, including discussions on attracting financing from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development for continued construction of the Rogun hydropower plant.
