The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission said it participated in the Trade and Investment Convention 2026 Business Seminar Series on July 9 and 10, delivering two investor education seminars on how small and medium-sized enterprises can access Trinidad and Tobago's capital market, including through listing on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange. Conducted with the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange, the sessions formed part of the commission's investor education programme and targeted entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups, investors and business leaders. The seminars covered the commission's regulatory role, compliance obligations under securities law when raising capital, investment products such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds, the SME listing pathway on the stock exchange, and safeguards against investment fraud and financial scams.
