In opening remarks at the Karya Kreatif Indonesia 2026 Innovation Talk, Bank Indonesia Deputy Governor Filianingsih Hendarta outlined the central bank’s strategy for advancing the digital transformation of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The approach covers digital farming to improve productivity and efficiency, e-commerce onboarding to expand market access, and digital financial record-keeping through the Financial Information Recording Application Information System to strengthen bookkeeping and access to finance. Bank Indonesia is also developing the Indonesian Digital Innovation Centre with the Financial Services Authority and strategic partners to connect talent, industry and government and produce digital solutions that MSMEs can adopt and replicate. Digital payment adoption has continued to expand, with QRIS reaching 65.77 million users and 44.86 million merchants as of June 2026, of which 96.68% were MSMEs.
