The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market approved a pilot project to promote investment opportunities in Ukraine by merging the assets of five funds into a single pooled investment fund, INZHUR REIT. The project also provides a legally enshrined right for investors to apply for redemption of their investment certificates until 4 April 2026. Under the model, instead of selling assets during liquidation, the funds’ assets will be transferred into the united fund, and holders of investment certificates will be able to exchange them for certificates of INZHUR REIT. The investment group will act as the legal successor for the existing agreements and obligations of the five funds, and the pooled structure is intended to diversify risk through a broader asset portfolio, including real estate. The Commission framed the pilot as a basis for developing new investor-protection mechanisms that could later be embedded in Ukrainian legislation.
