The Argentina Superintendency of Insurance (SSN) reported on Superintendent Guillermo Plate’s participation in the XXXV Ibero-American COPAPROSE 2025 Congress in Buenos Aires, where he emphasised the supervisor’s focus on insurer solvency, a strong but flexible regulatory framework, and greater transparency across the insurance market. Plate delivered opening remarks alongside Agustina Decarre, President of Argentina’s Federation of Associations of Insurance Producers (FAPASA) and COPAPROSE, and joined a panel with Decarre and María del Carmen Bouffard, Vice President of the Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES). He described insurance producers as central to insurance distribution in Argentina, framed solvency as fundamental to the “promise of the future” embedded in insurance contracts, and called for clear rules, dialogue and cooperation among regulators, insurers and producers to build a more transparent and sustainable market. COPAPROSE presented Plate with a special distinction recognising his participation and support for strengthening the Latin American insurance industry.
